The music was played by Miss Leonora Fisher, the organist of the church, and Miss Cornelia Barker, who played "O Promise Me" as a violin obligato. Dr.E.L. House arranged a special service for the wedding and it was very beautiful and impressive. The bride was given away by her father, and was also attended by her sister,Miss Ione Townsend. The bride wore a dainty gray gown of imported lace voille, with white picture hat.She carried Bride rosebuds. The maid of honor wore soft white silk and carried rose geraniums and asparagus fern.Louis Rice,Fred Nelson,Charles McNaughton, and Charles Stayer were the ushers and Gwilym G.Jones was best man. An unsual feature of the wedding was that the reception held immediately after the ceremony in the church parlors, were prettily decorated with Autumn leaves. Eight of the bride's intimate friends served ices, assisting Mrs.Townsend and Mrs.F.T.Ball,who presided at the table.Miss Jessie Farrell,Miss Jessie George, and Miss Ada Doernbecher served punch.During the reception Miss Barker played a series of delightful violin selections, with piano accompaniment by Miss Mary Caldwell. After a wedding breakfast,Mr. and Mrs. Williams left for Puget Sound to spend their honeymoon. They will be at home in Portland after October 1.
