Canby Herald and Clackamas County News September 7,1922
Pfister-Sawyer 
Word has been received from Drain,Oregon,of the marriage of Rufus 
Pfister,formerly of this city,to Miss Elma sawyer,of Drain,the wedding taking 
place at the home of the brides parents ,Sunday,September 3rd,at 9 o'clock 
with rev Drake,pastor of the Drain Methodist church,performing the 
ceremony.After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at 1 o'clock.The 
young couple left by auto for a honeymoon trip to California.
Mr Pfister is well known in Canby,having made his home here with his parents 
for several years.After their honeymoon trip the young couple will make their 
home at Drain,where the groom is in business
