GOOD It is now our pleasant privilege to briefly outline the career of the estimable citizen and enterprising agriculturist whose name introduces this article, and whose life of uprightness and praiseworthy industry is well known in the vicinity. He was born in the old Blue Grass state on February 19, 1863, to Lewis and Louisa Good. Six years later he was taken by his parents across the plains to California, where they settled and remained until their death. There our subject received the training of the public schools, and in 1880 came to this county where he wrought for wages for several years and then returned to California. A little later he went back east, remaining there until 1886, when he again sought the west, visiting San Francisco, Montana and finally drifting into this county, where he immediately purchased a farm of one hundred and twenty acres and settled down to its culture and improvement. He now owns two hundred and forty acres of good land and has it well improved. Here he is manifesting ability and thrift in the care of and operating this fine holding. On January 12, 1893, he was married to Mrs. N. J. White, widow of David White, one of the old pioneers of this county. Mrs. good has three children by her first husband, William Michael, namely: Minnie, wife of Frank Hart, of British Columbia; William; and Belle. She also has three by her second husband, David White, as follows: David, married and living in the Big Bend country; Della, wife of William Owen, of Eureka Flats, Washington; Artie, living at home. Mr. and Mrs. Good are members of the Christian church, where they manifest a commendable interest and activity. He is also affiliated with the A. O. U. W. at Milton. His amiable and genial nature, together with his intrinsic worth and faithfulness, have endeared Mr. Good to the large circle of acquaintances and friends that have the pleasure of a personal knowledge of him.
