COLIN McLENNAN
	This industrious and energetic agriculturist is numbered among the 
most enterprising and careful tillers of the soil in this county, and is at 
the present time carrying on successfully eight hundred acres of excellent 
wheat land, from which he reaps bounteous ingatherings as the results of 
wisely directed efforts.
	In the famous land of Scotland he was born on February 10, 1859, and 
in that place he received a good training in the public schools, as well as a 
fine course in the wise methods of tilling the soil in that country. In 1882 
he turned from the native place and set out for the new world, stopping first 
in Canada and then two years in Iowa, finally landing in this county in 1886, 
and engaged in farming. 
	On May 23, 1890, the marriage of Mr. McLennan and Jennie McRay, 
daughter of Donald and Christena (McClennan) McRae, was celebrated. To them 
have been born one child, Jean McClennan. In fraternal affiliations Mr. 
McLennan is identified with the A. O. U. W.  He is now superintending the farm 
of Mr. McRae, seven and one-half miles south from Walla Walla, where his skill 
and ability are manifested in excellent success.
