Marion O'Harra
	The industrious and enterprising agriculturist and stockman whose name 
heads this paragraph is practically a product of this county, having come here 
at the age of ten years, and to the coast four years previous to that. He has 
wrought out a gratifying success here and gained an enviable prominence, all 
of which he has justly merited because of his marked ability and unsullied 
life of sterling moral principle.
	He is the son of Daniel and Clarissa (Tait) O'Harra, being born to 
them in Iowa, on February 20, 1859. In 1865 the family crossed the plains with 
ox teams to the Willamette valley, remaining there until 1869, the date of 
their advent into this county. Here the father bought one hundred and sixty 
acres three miles northeast from Weston. Our subject received his education in 
the public schools of this county, and when he became of age commenced 
operations as a farmer and stockman, following that business continuously 
since. His energy and industry, guided by skill and wisdom, have given him 
great prosperity, resulting in an affluence that warranted his retiring from 
active business some three years since. He now lives in Weston, having a 
handsome residence and other city property, besides a fine ranch about twenty 
miles west from here. He gives his spare time to the raising of poultry, being 
well skilled in that business and handling some fine specimens of the leading 
breeds.
	His marriage occurred on March 5, 1900, when Mrs. Campbell became his 
bride. To them have been born two children, Evan and Olive, twins. Mr. O'Harra 
affiliates with the Masonic Order and the K. of  P., both in Weston. He has 
always taken an active part in the political affairs of the country, as well 
as local matters, and has frequently been called to serve in public office, 
being now city councilman, which position he has held for six years 
continuously.
