His flattering success in the years in which he has wrought in this county presages a brilliant future in active financial enterprises. He was born to Samuel and Cynthia A. Turner, on April 16, 1870, in Bozeman, Montana, and nine years later came with them to this county. Here he finished his education, began in his native state, and when he became of age began operations as a farmer for himself. In this capacity he has been markedly successful, owning now in company with his brother, O. C. Turner, who is mentioned elsewhere in this volume, over four hundred acres of fine soil, all of which is kept in a high state of cultivation and gives excellent annual returns. His estate is three and one-half miles north from Weston, and is one of the most finely kept farms to be seen in this section of the country. In addition to this he owns stock in the Farmer’s bank in Weston, besides considerable other property. Mr. Turner is affiliated with the Knights of Pythias and the Pioneers of the Pacific, both in Weston. His mother is still living in Weston, but his father died in 1898. He enjoys the confidence and esteem of his fellows, as well as of all who may have the pleasure of his acquaintance.
