Lightfoot ********************************************************************************* The Vinson Cemetery is located near remote cross road intersection with only a few farm houses and structures visible anywhere nearby. It is about ½ mile south of the junction of Heppner and Butter Creek roads. This reading was done during the first week of September 2002. It appears that is only infrequently tendered if at all. As you drive up towards the front gate, the cemetery is laid out into two distinctive halves: a north half and south half with an wide central clear path area in between. The rows described below are not clearly laid out in straight lines so I used my best judgment in making determinations of the various rows. I have tried to supply all inscription data verbatim as best as could be read from each monument with only minimal cleaning or clearing away of built up moss and other debris. Any information in this first list represents only data available from the gravestone itself and not any other source. South Half; starting at the South West corner (upper left); each row from left to right (from the south moving towards the central clear path area) and then successive rows working eastward (back towards the highway).
