Mrs. Evans died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 1985, in Redding, Calif. Burial will be Saturday in Redding, following cremation. She was born Feb. 24, 1896. For many years she worked at the Pendleton Woolen Mills, retiring in 1968. She then moved to Redding to be near her son, but has returned for summer visits here many times. Mrs. Evans was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary 28, and the ladies of the GAR. Survivors include her son, Forrest Miller, 1962 Quartz Hill Road, Redding, Calif. 96003; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A sister Blanche Humiston, and a brother, Charlie Williams, died earlier.
