Mrs. Purcell Dies

Mrs. Dewey Purcell, 51, South Cold Springs, died Saturday in St. Anthony’s 
Hospital after a short illness. Born in Juniper Canyon, resident of this county 
for most of her life, she and Mr. Purcell were married April 4, 1925 and had 
lived in the Cold Springs for 11 years. Surviving relatives are her husband; her
mother, Mrs. Mary Hargett, brothers and sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Kimball, Thad 
Hargett, Ernest Hargett, Mrs. Clifford Hughes, Pendleton, Mrs. Lillian Deardorff,
Prairie City; Clayton Hargett, La Grande and Ralph Hargett, Sweet Home. Funeral 
notice appears on this page. In lieu of flowers friends may contribute to the 
Heart Fund or Fund for Cancer Research.

PURCELL, Melissa Martha, age 51, late of Pendleton. Wife of Dewey Purcell,
Pendleton; daughter of Mrs. Mary M. Hargett, Pendleton; sister of Ralph Hargett,
Sweet Home, Ore.; Thad Hargett, Pendleton; Mrs. Lillian Deardorff, Prairie City; 
Mrs. Myrtle Kimball, Pendleton; Mrs. Francis Hughes, Pendleton. Funeral services
will be Tuesday, 2:00 P.M. at FOLSOMS’ FUNERAL CHAPAL, off street parking for
family and friends, entrance on SE 2nd St. Bearers: Dale Tucker, R.E. Bissenger,
Percy Dickerson, Bud Sonlater, Woodrow Hartle, Rat Lee. Burial in Olney Cemetery.
Please contribute to Cancer Fund or Heart Society for research in lieu of flowers.
