Florence Reeves

Umatilla - Florence Rachel Reeves, a Umatilla resident for more than 50 years 
died Friday at St. Mary’s Hospital  in Walla Walla, Wash. She was 77. 

Mrs. Reeves was born Dec. 23, 1901 in Everest, Kan. She was a member of  
Pocahontas Lodge of Umatilla, and also helped with Senior Citizen dinners.

Surviving are her sons, Harold E of Santa Barbara, Calif;, and Bennie B.; 
Irrigon; Daughters, Dottie F. Stephens and Norma V. Busler, both of Umatilla, 
Rita Jean Creamer, Irrigon, and Patsy I Hutchinson, La Grande; Sisters, 
Eva Otten and Gladys Winder, both of Peoria, Ill., Molly Hunt, Abington Ill., 
Freda Shane and Velma Wenstrom, both of Monmouth, Ill., and Edna Hanson, 
Portland. There are 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. 

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, at Burns Mortuary Chapel in 
Hermiston. Interment will be at Umatilla Cemetery.
