Al Razor, of Elgin, Killed James Ross and Must Stand Trial
La Grande,Or.,Oct.13-(Special)- In the Circuit Court, in session here, Al 
razor, of Elgin, was arraigned this morning, charged with manslaughter. He 
pleaded not guilty, and the case has been postponed four weeks.
Razor was employed in a sawmill by James Ross, near Elgin, and a hot dispute 
arose over some settlement. Ross picked up a peavy and hit Razor in the head 
and face, inflicting serious wounds. Razor theeupon shot a few times in self 
defense, killing Ross almost instantly.
Razor alleges he was compelled to shoot to save himself. The Coroner's jury 
set hin free in their investigation.
