The East Oregonian June 22, 1958 G.C. Schroeder Dies at 81 George C. Schroeder, 81, a resident of Umatilla County 73 years, died Sunday in Pendleton. The body is at Folsom’s pending arrangements. Mr. Schroeder a native of Illinois where he was born Nov. 3, 1876, came to this country when a boy of eight with his parents. He married Dora Hudeman May 17, 1898 at the Hudeman ranch north of Pendleton. Survivors are sons John Schroeder, Pendleton, and Carlton Schroeder, of Los Angeles; daughter Mrs. Robert G. Harris, Maple Valley, Wash., and sisters Mrs. Alba Card, Seaside, and Mrs. Joe Schmidt, North Hollywood, Calif. He farmed in Umatilla County most of his life and also moved to Hermiston for a time, living there for five years. FUNERAL NOTICE: SCHROEDER, George Cornelius, age 81, late of Pendleton. Father of sons John Schroeder, Pendleton, and Carlton Schroeder, of Los Angeles, Mrs. Robert G. Harris, Maple Valley, Wash., brother of Mrs. Alba Card, Seaside, Ore.; Mrs. Joe Schmidt, North Hollywood, Calif. Funeral services will be Wednesday 10 a.m. Folsom’s Funeral Chapel (off street parking for family and friends on S.E. 2nd. Interment at Olney Mausoleum.
