He was born March 10, 1875, and had been married to the former Carrie Vanderpool about 60 years. She survives as do two sons, Damon of Toppenish and Truman of Adams; five daughters, Mrs. Hobart (Florence) Hand, White Salmon, Wash., Mrs. Ray (Rita) Jones and Mrs. Harold (Olive) Gould of Weston, Mrs. Emery (Hazel) Purcell, Pendleton, and Mrs. Gracie Morford , Athena; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Three brothers, Ed of Walla Walla, Ralph of Weston, and Elmer of Salt Lake City, and three sisters , Mrs. Gertrude Hart, Walla Walla, Mrs. May Critchlow, Baker, and Mrs. Joseph (Katie) Wood, Castle Rock, Wash., also survive. Funeral services were held in Toppenish at 2 p.m. Sept. 6. Attending from here were the Harold Gould family, Ray Jones family, Ralph Tucker, and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Erickson.
