H. Brown, 45, Wallowa dentist, was pronounced in serious condition at Grande Ronde hospital today as the result of an automobile mishap yesterday. He was completely paralyzed from his shoulders down, hospital attendants reported, and was believed to have a back injury. X-days [sic] showed no broken bones. Dr. Brown and his son Hoyt, 18, were hurt when an automobile young Brown was driving toward La Grande left the road on wet pavement north of Imbler and overturned in the ditch. Hoyt Brown received bruises and a severe head cut, but his condition was reported good.
