An Overdose of Morphine
Baker City,Or., April 25- Fred Bowen,of this city, died last night from the 
effects of an overdose of morphine. He had used the dru for years until three 
months ago, when he was pronounced cured by the Metropolitan institute at 
Boise City, where he took a course of treatment. He acted strangely and was 
despondent fro several days, and yesterday afternoon took about 10 grains of 
morphine hypodermically, expiring in four hours. The eceased leaves a mother, 
five sisters and five brothers. He was aged 31 years.
