The Dalles Weekly Reminder, March 4, 1988
Jerry W. Austen, 41, died Feb. 27 in Portland.

Born June 10, 1946, Mr. Austen was a resident of The Dalles since 1958.  He 
was a member of Operating Engineers #701, Wasco Masonic Lodge #15 AF&AM, 
Eagles Lodge 2124, and American Legion.

Survivors include his mother, Lela Robertson, Molalla, Ore.; brother, Norman 
G. Austen, Arvada, Colo.; sisters, Carol Ann Austen of Anchorage, Alaska, and 
Patsy Kay McCann, Damascus, Ore.  He was preceded in death by his father, 
Virgil C. Austen in 1983.

Graveside services will be held Sat., March 5, 11 a.m. at Parklawn Memorial 
Gardens.  Masonic rites will be conducted by Lew Gregory.  Smith-Callaway 
Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
