Wakley iwakley@msn.com June 2, 2006, 1:27 am The Dalles Chronicle, April 18, 2006 Huldah Elizabeth Bidgood, 89, a resident of Wasco, died at a local care facility on Sunday, April 16, 2006. She was born in Weiser, Idaho, on Feb. 16, 1917, the youngest of three children to Harry L. and Ina B. (Reeves) Thomason. She attended school in Weiser, where she graduated from Weiser High School in 1936. She married James Edwin Bidgood in Pendleton on Jan. 19, 1961. She was employed by Wulff Hardware and CC Anderson Company in Weiser for 10 years. She was also employed for 10 years at the Department of Agriculture ASC office in Payette, Idaho. In 1960, she transferred to the Department of Agriculture in Pendleton. She was employed by Good Shepherd Hospital in Hermiston until moving to Wasco in 1962. She and her husband owned and operated the Wasco Pharmacy, where she was the bookkeeper. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge #22 of Payette for 50 years. She loved her rock garden, watching the birds in her backyard, playing bridge, going to the Oregon coast and reading good books. She is survived by her husband James E. Bidgood, Wasco; a son Robert L Muir and his wife Connie, Eugene; five grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter; one niece, Pat Hartman, Lubbock, Texas; two step-daughters, Nancy Bidgood and Joan Skidmore. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 20, at 1 p.m. at Wasco Sunrise Cemetery in Wasco with Pastor Bob Reasoner officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Sherman High School.
