The Dalles Weekly Reminder, June 21, 1984
     Glen Clifford Blegen, died June 16 at the hospital.  He was project 
engineer for The Dalles Dam when he retired in 1964.

     He was born March 17, 1901 in Maplewood Township, Minn., and had lived 
here since 1955.  He had served in the Navy during WWI.

     He was a life member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic 
Engineers, The Dalles Chapter 674 National Association of Retired Federal 
Employees, and The Dalles Elks Lodge.

     Surviving are his wife, Gladys; whom he married June 25, 1926 in Santa 
Ana, Calif.; a son Gary, White Salmon; five grandchildren.

     Funeral services were Wednesday at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home.  
Burial was in the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.

     Memorials have been suggested to the American Cancer Society.
