The Dalles Chronicle, April 28, 2006
     Hazel Nancy Blevins, 82, a resident of Vancouver, Wash., died at her home 
on Monday, May 15, 2006.
     She was born in West Jefferson, N.C., on April 9, 1924, the second eldest 
of 11 children to William and Callie (Poe) Eller. She moved to Pennsylvania 
early in her life and married Jessie W. Blevins on Sept. 18, 1946. Together 
they raised nine children of their own. They moved to Delaware in the early 
sixties and then to The Dalles in 1975, where she resided until just recently 
when she had to move to Vancouver due to her health.
     She was a member of the Eagles Lodge and enjoyed her family, bingo and 
jigsaw puzzles.
     She is survived by Roger and Donna Blevins of Newport, Del., Gary Cazier 
of Wilmington, Del., Dewey and Nancy Allen of New Castle, Del., Pat Blevins 
and John McNeal of Vancouver, Wash., Tom and Debby Turner of Dallesport, 
Wash., Andy and Faith Pierce of Parkdale, Tina Hutchison of Wilmington, Del., 
Doug and Kathy Wormington of Milwaukie, and Rick Blevins of Kennewick, Wash.; 
22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie; her daughter, Jean; two 
sisters and two brothers.
     Viewing visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18 from 2 to 7 p.m. at 
Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home. 
     A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 19 at 11 a.m. at IOOF 
Cemetery, 18th Street and Cherry Heights with Spencer, Libby and Powell Chapel 
in care of arrangements. Memorials may be made to charity of chose.
