The Dalles Chronicle, August 2,  2006
     Jane E. Boler, 85, a resident of The Dalles, died at a care facility in 
Forest Grove Thursday, July 26, 2006.

     She was born July 12, 1931, in Flagstaff, Ariz., to Harry and Ellen 
(Oakley) Stoleberg. She attended and graduated from The Dalles High School.

     She married Frank Payne in 1950. She was a hard worker, and lived in and 
around The Dalles for years, working as a waitress.

     She enjoyed friendly conversation, gardening, and camping. 

     She is survived by her son, John Payne, Damascus; her daughters, Barbara 
House of Beaverton and Laurie Brasner, The Dalles; her sister, Harriett; five 
grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one nephew.

     A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 12 at 6 p.m. at the 
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2500 W. 8th street, The Dalles.

     A private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-Quatt Crematory with 
Spencer, Libby, and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
