The Dalles Weekly Reminder,  March 13, 1987
     Sherman "Gail" Bolton, a lifelong resident of The Dalles area, died in 
The Dalles March 5 at age 94.
     Mr. Bolton was born in Boyd, Ore., Sept. 26, 1892.  He was a wheat and 
cattle rancher in the area.
     He is survived by a close friend, Erma Nelson of The Dalles, step-
daughter, Mrs. Del 'Jerri' Ball of Tigard, two step-grandchildren, Del Ball, 
Jr., and Jerri Mimnaugh, both of Portland; six nieces; a nephew.
     Funeral services were held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home 
officiated by Pastor Ronald Coleman, followed by interment at Parklawn 
Cemetery.
