The Dalles Weekly Reminder, April 15, 1988
     Murwin "Doc" W. Bowdish, 94, died at a local nursing home April 7.  He 
was a resident of The Dalles for five years, formerly of Wapato, Wash.
     Mr. Bowdish was born May 22, 1893, in Durango, Colo.  He served in the 
U.S. Navy during WWII and later worked for the fire department in Minneapolis, 
Minn., where he retired as captain.
     He was a member of the American Legion Post 133 in Wapato.
     He is survived by two nephews, Ivan Graves of California and Densel 
Graves of Monroe, Wash.; a great-nephew, Dale Bowdish of The Dalles; a great-
niece, Janice Lee McDonald of Portland; six great-great-nieces and nephews and 
three great-great-great nieces and nephews.
     Spencer, Libby and Powell was in charge of arrangements.
