The Dalles Chronicle, June 21, 2006
     Gailen Marie Boxrud, 59, died on June 15, 2006 after a long battle with 
cancer.

     She was born to Chris and Doris Goracke in Graceville, Minn., on Jan. 10, 
1947.

     She married David Boxrud in Greenwood, Minn., on June 7, 1966.

     She loved working with the hospital auxiliary in Madras.

     Survivors include her husband; a son, Chris; brothers, Larry, Ron, Tom 
and Lee Goracke in Minnesota; a sister, Linda Lorenzen, Madras; and many 
nieces and nephews, all in Minnesota.

     A memorial mass was held at St. Patrick’s Church on June 16. Burial will 
be at a later date in The Dalles. Arrangements were by Bel-Air Funeral Home of 
Madras.
