The Dalles Weekly Reminder, July 19, 1984
Erven C. Boyce, 78, died at his home in Mosier Thursday, July 12.

Mr. Boyce was born Jan. 12, 1906 in Green City, Mo.  He worked as a heavy 
equipment operator in road construction, and was a member of the Operating 
Engineers Union No. 701 in Portland.  He moved to Mosier in 1953 and retired 
there in 1956.

He is survived by his wife Edna, Mosier; four daughters, Shirley May Combs, 
Dee; Lloydeane Martin, Shreveport, La.; Clarence Banister, Pendleton; and 
Marlene Mayfield, Pendleton; 20 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Monday at the Mosier cemetery.  Smith Callaway 
Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
