     Claire Teresa (McAuliffe) Brackett, 76, died at her home in Puerto 
Penasco (Rocky Point), Mexico on Feb. 7, 2004.
     She as born to Adeline and Joseph McAuliffe in Boston, Mass., Aug. 12, 
1927. She was one of three children.
     She grew up in Roslindale, Mass., and moved to The Dalles when she was in 
the 10th grade. She graduated from The Dalles High School in the Class of 1945.
     She married Lawrence (Buzz) Beaudoin in 1949 and in 1974 married James 
Brackett.
     In 1982 she retired from her bookkeeping career. After retiring, she and 
her husband spent most of their time at their home in Los Conchos in Rocky 
Point.
     Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Sonja McAuliffe; 
her brother-in-law, Wayne Melzer; five children, Teri and Terry Parker, San 
Juan Capistrano, Calif.; Jeff and Sylvia Beaudoin, Kasilof, Alaska; John 
Beaudoin, Moro; Greg and Colleen Beaudoin, Acton, Calif.; and Lynette Denise, 
Tucson, Ariz.; stepdaughter, Elaine Walter; grandchildren, Jenny and Michelle 
Parker; Ian and Jeffrey Beaudoin; Bonnie, Bridgett, Rachael and Elaine 
Beaudoin; Alan and Cara; nine nieces and nephews; and 12 great-nieces and 
nephews.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; sister, Evelyn Melzer; and 
great-niece, Shawna Melzer.
     Recital of the Rosary will be held in Puerto Penasco on Thursday, Feb. 12 
at 8 p.m. Mass will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m. Per her request, 
burial will be in Puerto Penasco, Mexico.
     Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. 
     St. Cecilia Funeral Home in Puerto Penasco is assisting in the 
arrangements.
