She was born Aug. 24, 1916 in Trapp Town, Ala., the second of six children to Samuel J. and Addie E. (Snider) Trapp and moved to The Dalles in the mid-1930’s. She married Herbert Bradley on April 4, 1942 in Goldendale, Wash., and they owned and operated the Veltex Service Station and Car Wash on East Second Street for many years. In her younger years, she was very active with the school PTA, Room Mothers and was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. She had been a precinct woman, and was secretary for her political party for 10 years, having served on the executive committee. She also was named Outstanding Woman for Wasco County. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, V.F.W. Charter and was a member of Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her daughter, Marti Bradley, Knik, Alaska; foster daughter, Donna Farrel, Portland; two grandchildren, Christa Bradley, San Jose, Calif.; Ronald Roy Bradley, Anchorage, Alaska; two step-grandchildren, Tom and Mike Bradley; a brother, Milford Trapp and his wife, Anna, The Dalles; two sisters, Ruby Lanham, Silverton, and Sue Pratt and her husband, Vernon, The Dalles; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Bradley in May 1977, her son, Ronald Bradley, step-son, Don Bradley, brother, Dillard Trapp and her sister, Stella Carlson. Funeral services will be held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003 at 11 a.m. Private interment will follow at Odd Fellow’s Cemetery on Cherry Heights. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 1112 W 9th St., The Dalles, OR 97058.
