He was born Dec. 11, 1928 in Phillips County, Kansas, the second of three children to Paul W. and Blanche Iris (Burton) Bradley. He lived there until he married Mildred Jean Fogleman on Dec. 19, 1948 in Phillipsburg, Kansas. They traveled for his work as a heavy equipment operator mainly on highway construction, settling in The Dalles in 1963. He was a member of the Life and Christ Center and the Operating Engineers Local #701. He enjoyed time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sons and their spouses, Larry and Angela Bradley, Terry and Becky Bradley and Gary Bradley, his daughter, Connie Taylor and her husband, Thomas, all of The Dalles; grandchildren, Justin and Stephanie, Heath and TammieJo, Tabor and Tanya, Tyler and Gabe Bradley, Angie and Tracy Stansbury, Amie, Amanda and Tommy Taylor and Casey Slaughter; great- grandchildren, Cody, Bailey, McKenzie, Ivorie, Keeley, Aspen and Samantha; two sisters, Geraldine and her husband, Dean Babcock, Phillipsburg, and Elaine and her husband, Carl Delozier, Beaverton. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mildred Bradley, in March of 2002. Viewing and visitation will be held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home on Friday (today), Feb. 13, from 2 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Graveside services will be held at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery on Cherry Heights Road on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 11 a.m. with Pastor J.W. Jepson officiating. Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home are in care of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Special Olympics, 3325 NW Yeon, Portland, OR 97201.
