Wakley iwakley@msn.com May 19, 2006, 11:29 am The Dalles Weekly Reminder, November 10, 1983 Billy Elmo Brantner, 57, a resident of The Dalles since 1970, died Nov. 4 at the hospital. He was born May 2, 1926 in Green Castle, Mo. Mr. Brantner was a member of the American Legion and served in World War II with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists Union and the National Rifle Association. He retired from the Bonneville Power Administration three years ago after working at the Big Eddy substation for many years. Survivors include his wife, Doris, The Dalles, two daughters, Fawn Huss, San Francisco, and Dawn Jurado, The Dalles; a son, Rocky, The Dalles; eight grandchildren; his mother, Dolly Greenstreet, Omak, Wash.; and two sisters, Imogene Timm, San Jose, Calif., and Geraldine Geisler, Okonogan, Wash. Funeral services were Wednesday at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Phipps officiating. Cremation followed in Portland.
