The Dalles Weekly Reminder, December 8, 1984
     Helen M. Brogan, 81 died at a local nursing home Nov. 27.  She lived in 
The Dalles since 1978.

     She was born March 3, 1903 in Jordan to John and Ethel McCullouch.  She 
moved to Antelope from the Willamette Valley when she was three and in 1921 
she married Daniel J. Brogan.  He died November of 1944.

     In 1926 the couple moved to Lakeview and Mrs. Brogan continued to live 
there until 1947 when she moved to Portland.  She moved to The Dalles in 1978.

    Survivors include two sons, Dr. Robert D. Brogan, The Dalles; and Philip 
Dale Brogan, Salem; six grandchildren; a brother, Robert McCullouch, Fossil; 
and three sisters, Hazel Dexter, Madras; Flora Farlow, Terrebonne, and June 
Thompson, Kinzue.

     Funeral services were Nov. 4 at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home 
with Dr. James Hazelett officiating.  Burial followed at The Dalles IOOF 
Cemetery.

     She was a member of Gateway Presbyterian Church and had been a longtime 
member of the Rebekah Lodge in Lakeview and in Portland.

     Memorials may be made to the Gateway Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or 
Meals on Wheels.
