The Dalles Weekly Reminder, December 13, 1984
     Katherine (Kate) C. Brogan, 91, died Dec. 7, in a nursing home in Mt. 
Angel.

     She owned Peacock Greenhouse (now The Dalles Greenhouse) and Peacock 
Floral which was located on Second Street adjacent to Mel O's Camera.  The 
Greenhouse was closed during World War II because of fuel shortages.

     Mrs. Brogan was born June 24, 1893 at Little Trout Creek near Antelope.  
She lived in The Dalles from 1919 to 1983 when she moved to Mt. Angel.

     She is survived by a sister, Mrs. John (Frances) Becker, Woodburn; nieces 
and nephews.  She was a member of St. Peter Catholic church.

     Recitation of the rosary was Monday at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral 
Home.  The Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church 
and burial at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery.

     Pallbearers were Jay Thomas Weiss, Alfred Aicher, Frank McNamee, Robert 
O., Robert T. and Thomas J. Barrett.
