They resided in Bandon, and spent winters in Niland, Calif., until Ben’s unexpected death in 2002. She then moved to Emerald Springs Retirement Home in Yuma. When her health failed, she moved to Life Care Assisted Living Home where she lived out the remainder of her life. She is survived by her brother, Wallace Henry Mayhew, 85, Springfield; four daughters, Judy Bennett, Salem; Nancy Williams, Spanaway, Wash.; Clarice Shrader, Yuma; and Tammy Bashford, Niland.
