The Dalles Weekly Reminder, May 19, 1983
     Thomas Dewane Brown, a lifelong resident of Tygh Valley area, died Monday 
in a traffic accident in southern Wasco County.
     He was born Nov. 29, 1955 in The Dalles.
     He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Maupin.
     Survivors include his wife, Cathy Brown, Tygh Valley; his parents, Loris 
and Aggie Brown, Tygh Valley; five sisters, Teresa Mounts, Boardman, Patricia 
Walker and Mary McLaurin, both of Tygh Valley; and Becky and Lorie Brown, both 
of Gresham; his grandfather, Alfred Brown, Tygh Valley, and six nieces and 
nephews.
     Graveside services were today at Tygh Valley Cemetery with the Rev. Larry 
Kirby officiating.  Casket bearers were Dale Stover, Jack Ewing, Don Sanders, 
Steve Willis, Morris Ashley and Steve Kuhlman.
     Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
     Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Maupin in care 
of Rita Rolf, or to favorite charities.
