     Marian Jean Browning, 80, a resident of The Dalles,died at her home on 
Thursday, April 20, 2006.
     She was born in Warren, Ohio, on Sept. 2, 1926, to John George and Emma 
Jean (Berry) Davis, she was the third of four children, and she grew up in 
Acton, Mass. She married Robert Olin Browning on Aug. 22, 1944, and moved to 
The Dalles in 1946. She worked for the school food service of District 9 
schools for 20 years.
     She loved visiting family from coast to coast, camping and fishing with 
friends and family, crafts, photography, emailing, and puzzles.
     She is survived by her children and spouses: Lee and Bev Browning, The 
Dalles, Ralph Browning, The Dalles, Carol and Alan Rousseau of Bethel Vt.; 
seven grandchildren: Travis and Katie Browning, Gunnar and Danielle Browning, 
Spencer and Jenny Browning, Gina and Jeff Cochenour, Michelle, Suzanne and 
Ethan Rousseau; four great-grandchildren, Cooper and Peyton Browning, Bailey 
Browning, and Molly Cochenour; two sisters, Elizabeth Mariano of Leominster, 
Mass., and Barbara Farrell of Northboro, Mass. She is preceded in death by her 
parents, her brother Ralph Davis, and her husband Robert Browning.
     Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-Quatt Crematory, with 
Spencer, Libby, and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Memorial 
contributions may be made to Hospice of The Gorge, 751 Myrtle Street, The 
Dalles, OR 97058.
