Wakley iwakley@msn.com December 10, 2006, 11:52 am The Dalles Weekly Reminder, June 28, 1984 Graveside services for Roscoe Elwood Bryant, 95, were held Monday in the Odd Fellows Cemetery with the Rev. Glen Gessele officiating. Mr. Bryant was born Sept. 23, 1888 at Ft. Scott Kansas and died June 20 in a Forest Grove hospital. He had lived in Gaston for the past 22 years and had formerly lived in The Dalles. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and Mapleton masonic Lodge. Survivors include three sons: Dan Bryant, Eugene; Jed and Glann of Gaston; two daughters-in-law: Mrs. Harry Bryant, and Mrs. Dan Bryant, Eugene; three daughters: Orlena Sexton, The Dalles; Woneighta Tippetts, Salt Lake City; Dorotha Bryant, Gaston; 14 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. His wife, Mary, died in 1980. Pallbearers were Paul Sexton, Ron Charles and Fred Bryant, Dee Tippetts and Ed Day. Memorials to charities have been suggested.
