The Dalles Weekly Reminder, May 3, 1984
     Gregory J. Carter, 34, died as a result of injuries received in an 
electrical accident April 21.  He resided in Bremerton, Wash., and formerly 
lived in The Dalles.

     He was injured on April 19 while working on a power line in the south 
Kitsap County community of Harper.  He died at a Bremerton hospital.

     Mr. Carter was born Nov. 1, 1949 in The Dalles and graduated from 
Wahtonka High School in 1968.  He served as a medical corpsman in the U.S. 
Navy and married Denise Patterson in Bremerton in 1972.

     He went to work for Puget Sound Power & Light Co. in 1973.  He was a 
member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Free 
Methodist Church of Bremerton.

     Survivors other than his wife are four children, Jennifer, Kimberly, 
Bradley and Daniel, all of Bremerton; his parents, James and Helen Carter, The 
Dalles; a brother, Michael, Orange County, Calif.; a sister, Stephanie Carter, 
Baker; his mother-in-law Hielda Patterson, Bremerton; his grandmother, Helen 
Maxwell, The Dalles; and his grandfather, Bill Reed, Salem.

     Memorial services were held Tuesday at the Free Methodist Church in 
Bremerton.  Memorials may be made to that church, 13th and Hewitt Street, 
Bremerton, Wash. 98310.
