The Dalles Chronicle, December 31, 2003
     Esperanza Rizpha Chavez, the infant daughter of Marco A. and Catina M. 
(Varela) Chavez, died on Dec. 24, 2003 at birth in a Portland hospital.
She is survived by her parents, Marco A. and Catina M. Chavez; her twin 
brother, Daniel Jordan Chavez; brother, Marco A. Chavez Jr.; two sisters, 
Lauren A. and Carina M. Chavez, all of The Dalles and her grandmother, Janet 
Varela, Glendale, Ariz.
Funeral services were held today at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home. 
Interment followed at the 18th Street IOOF Cemetery.
