The Dalles Weekly Reminder, August 7, 1987
James Clements, 91, died at a local nursing home July 31.  He was a resident 
of The Dalles since 1968.

Mr. Clements was born in St. Cloud, Minn. on Aug. 20, 1895.  He was a steel 
yard foreman in the aircraft industry before retirement.  He was preceded in 
death by his wife, Mabel, who he married in 1977.  She died in 1986.

He is survived by a son, James Moore Clements of Carmichael, Calif.; a 
daughter, Barbara Black of The Dalles; five grandchildren; 12 great 
grandchildren.

Graveside memorial services were held at Parklawn Cemetery officiated by the 
Rev. Ronald Keyser.  Memorials are suggested to the Oregon Heart Fund.  
Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
