     Betty June Clemons, 80, a resident of The Dalles, died in Bend on Sunday, 
Feb. 1, 2004.
     She was born April 11, 1923 in Pasco, Wash., the oldest of three children 
to Howard Samuel and Opal Agatha (Gibson) MacKinnon. She was raised and 
graduated high school in Mullan, Idaho, then moved to Camas, Wash., where she 
worked at a paper mill. 
     She married Myron Clifford Clemons on Oct. 6, 1946 in Camas. He worked 
construction and they followed his work settling in The Dalles on Jan. 1, 
1954. She worked at Stadleman’s Fruit for 25 years, retiring in 1985.
     She was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church and enjoyed friends, and 
family. Her greatest passion was her yard and her trademark roses. 
     She is survived by her husband, Myron, Bend; her daughter, Sandie and her 
husband, Dan McKinley, Bend; two grandchildren, Jason and his wife, Dawn 
Mitchell, Medford; Amber (Mitchell) and her husband, Tanner Wark, Bend; 2 step-
granddaughters, Stephanie and her husband, Craig Brant, Eugene; Lisa Douglass, 
Portland; six great-grandchildren and one sister, Lela Norelius, Portland. She 
was preceded in death by her sister, Mary.
     Funeral services will be held at Emanuel Baptist Church on Thursday, Feb. 
5, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tim Foster officiating. Interment will follow at The 
Dalles Threemile IOOF Cemetery (Formerly known as Parklawn Cemetery) with 
Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements. 
     Memorials may be made to The Dalles Celilo Center, 1800 East 19th Street, 
The Dalles, OR 97058.
