The Dalles Weekly Reminder, December 20, 1984
     Vernon H. Crawford, 84, died Dec. 14 at Mid-Columbia Medical Center.  He 
was a lifelong resident of The Dalles.
     He was born in The Dalles on Sept. 13, 1900.  Mr. Crawford was a member 
of the First Christian Church in The Dalles.  Survivors include two daughters, 
Mrs. Lester (Donna) Ashbrook, Dufur; and Mrs. Francis (Dorothy) Bradford, The 
Dalles; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Willard 
Crawford, The Dalles, and several nieces and nephews.  His wife Arra, died in 
1973.
     Graveside services were Monday at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery.
     Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund.  Smith 
Callaway Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
