The Dalles Weekly Reminder, February 23, 1984
     Hugh Logan Creighton, 78, a lifelong resident of The Dalles, died Friday 
at Mid-Columbia Medical Center.

     He was born March 12, 1905 in The Dalles, and graduated from The Dalles 
High School in 1923.

     Mr. Creighton married his wife, Hilda, Jan. 11, 1925.  They lived in the 
same house on 12th Street since 1927.  He owned and operated the Kelly Avenue 
Grocery Store from 1938-1963.  He and his wife sold antiques since 1963.  He 
was also a member of the IOOF Lodge.

     Survivors other than his wife, include three sons, Jack, Gresham; Dave, 
Portland; and Cliff, The Dalles; grandchildren, Pam, Beth, Hugh, Mike, Tim and 
Dan; and a brother, Clair Creighton, The Dalles.

     Graveside services were Saturday at the IOOF Cemetery.  Spencer, Libby & 
Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
