The Dalles Weekly Reminder, February 20, 1987
     Grace M. Davis, 87, a lifetime resident of Dufur, died at a local nursing 
home Feb. 13.
     She was born in The Dalles Oct. 7, 1899, and was a member of the Order of 
Eastern Star #33 and the Oregon Wheat League.
     Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, William Emery Davis in 
1975.
     She is survived by a daughter, Mary Neal of Dufur; grandson, Richard Neal 
of The Dalles; two great-grandsons, Tony and Tyler Neal of The Dalles; one 
sister, Florence Guinther of The Dalles; three nieces, Mary Summerson, Martha 
Witter, and Catherine Dehl, all of Spokane; two nephews, Frank Zahniser of 
Spokane and Gerald Kaufman of The Dalles.
     Funeral services were held at Smith Callaway Chapel, and vault interment 
was at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in The Dalles.  Memorials may be made to the 
American Cancer Society in care of the U. S. Bank in The Dalles.
