The Dalles Chronicle, August 1,  2006
     Alice D. Davis, 74, a former resident of The Dalles, died at her home in 
Portland on July 28, 2006.
     She was born in The Dalles on Dec. 28, 1931 to C. L. and Myrtle (Miller) 
Stickney.
     Survivors include her husband, Don Davis, who had pastored several 
churches around the northwest; children, Joanne Evans, Vancouver; Charles 
Davis, Kalama, Wash., and Donna Wakefield, Randle, Wash.; seven grandchildren 
and many nieces and nephews; two sisters, Theora Meyers, Hillsboro; Eva 
Johnson, The Dalles, and Keith Starkey, Fairfield, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Royal, Thelma, 
Verli and Harold.
     Memorial services will be held Wednesday, August 2 at 11 a.m. at Mill 
Park Baptist Church, 117th and Market, in Portland.
     Memorials may be made to the building fund at Orient Drive Baptist Church 
in Boring or to Hospice.
