Surnames: Edwards, Johns, Perkins, Barnhart, Ashley Anna Mae Edwards, 81, a resident of The Dalles, died at a local care facility on Friday, April 25, 2003. She was born in Dixon, Wyoming on November 12, 1921, the oldest of four children to Frank and Grace (Johns) Perkins. She grew up in Dubois, Wyoming. In the late 1940s, she moved to Tygh Valley (Oregon), where she lived until moving to The Dalles in the early 1990s. She was a homemaker and member of Life in Christ Center. She enjoyed her church and family. She is survived by her daughter, Janice L. Barnhart, The Dalles; her son, Jerry Barnhart, Madras (Oregon); grandchildren and great grandchildren including, Jeffrey Ray Ashley, Salem (Oregon); and her brothers, Charles Perkins, The Dalles, and Theodore Perkins, Madras. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Edwards, whom she had married on February 7, 1972 in Ely, Nevada. No public funeral services will be held, private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
