The Dalles Weekly Reminder, January 19, 1984
     Sam Eilers, 79, a resident of The Dalles for 30 years, died Jan. 12 at 
Mid-Columbia Medical Center.

     He was born Feb. 2, 1904 in Hildreth, Neb.

     Mr. Eilers was a construction worker.  He married his wife, Faye, in 1933 
in Hildreth.

     Survivors, other than his wife, include nieces and nephews.

     Funeral services were Monday at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home, 
conducted by Mr. Don Flecker.
