     Lillian Mary Elliott, 95, a resident of The Dalles, died at her nieces 
home on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005.
     She was born March 23, 1909, in Burnt Woods, Oregon, the fourth of eight 
children to Charles Arthur and Ethel (Henderson) Jones. She grew up in Lincoln 
County and moved to Friend in the mid-1920's.
     She married Edwin Benedict Elliott on Nov. 14, 1926, in Friend.
     They farmed in the Friend area until moving to The Dalles in 1945. She 
was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Wasco County Pioneer 
Association.
     Lillian is survived by three grandchildren, Amanda Sjothun, April 
Elliott, and Greg Elliott; two great-granddaughters, Lexia and Charleze, both 
of Portland; her sister-in-law, Betty Elliott, Portland and numerous nieces 
and nephews.
     She was preceded in death by her husband in December 1996 and by her 
daughter, Kathy Elliott in January 1986.
     Viewing visitation will be held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home 
on Friday, Jan. 14 from 2 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until noon. 
     Memorial services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church at 1 p.m. on 
Saturday, Jan. 15, with her nephew, Pastor John Wenrich, and Asa Jenson 
officiating.
     Private interment will be held at Three Mile Road Odd Fellows Cemetery, 
formerly known as Parklawn Cemetery. 
     Memorial contributions may be made to Friend Community Club (Preservation 
of the old Friend School) c/o Dorothy DePriest, PO Box 37, Dufur, OR 97021.
