     Andrew Edwin Ellis, 56, a resident of Lyle, died at a local hospital on 
Friday, Jan. 27, 2006. 
     He was born on July 21, 1949 in Vancouver, Wash., the only child to Frank 
Edwin and Geraldine May (Summers) Ellis. 
     He was a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. He was a 
member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in White Salmon. He enjoyed hunting 
and fishing with his sons, woodworking, racing cars, strip racing, and he 
restored a 1947 Chevy pickup. 
     He is survived by his wife of 38 years Murlin Ellis, Lyle; his two sons, 
Tim Edwin Ellis, Hood River; and Jerald Franklin Ellis and his wife Amy, The 
Dalles, and their children Derrick Andrew Ellis and Zachery Ryan Ellis; his 
siblings James Raymond Smith and Glenna Pebbles and her husband Mike, all of 
Vancouver; and Mary Elizabeth Clements and her husband Greg of Kansas.
     He was preceded in death by his son Casey Allen Ellis and his father.
     Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-Quatt Crematory. Services 
will be held at Seventh Day Adventist Church, NE Tohomish St., White Salmon on 
Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006 at 11 a.m. Spencer, Libby and Powell in care of 
arrangements.
