The Dalles Weekly Reminder, December 8, 1995
     Elmer J. "Buck" Ellison, 84, a lifelong resident of The Dalles, died at 
the local hospital Dec. 2, 1995.
     He was born Nov. 11, 1911 to Frank and Grace (Brace) Ellison in The 
Dalles.
     He worked as a mechanic for the railroad.
     He married his wife, Ruby Irene "Jackie" Ellison, in Sept. of 1930.  She 
preceded him in death in March of 1984.
     He is survived by his son, Bob Ellison, brother, Roy Ellison and sister, 
Dorothy James, all of The Dalles; another sister, Ruth Smith, of Dufur, and 
sister-in-law, Ruth Hemm of Reno.
     Services were Dec. 6, the Rev. John Stetzer officiating, at Smith 
Callaway Chapel.  Private interment was at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
      Smith Callaway Chapel was in care of arrangements.
