Word has been received here of the death of Irene Chadwick Endersby, 71, who 
died on Jan. 7 at a hospital in Portland.

She was born Feb. 9, 1922 in Oldham, England.  She married Lyle C. Endersby of 
Maupin in 1945, and after the war they settled in Maupin.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Dan Bushek, Baker 
City; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Karen Endersby, Halfway; five 
grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a cousin, Edward Charles Jackson, 
Oldham, England; and another cousin, D. Morrison of West Australia.

Her parents, John Willie and Vera Chadwick and her husband, Lyle, died 
earlier.  

Memorial services were held on Jan. 10 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in The 
Dalles.
