The Dalles Weekly Chronicle, January 29, 1982
     Fritz T. Erickson, 84, a resident of The Dalles area since 1943, died 
Jan. 25 at the hospital.
     He was born Aug. 4, 1897 at Orreforz, Smoland, Sweden.
     He served in the U.S. Army before retiring in 1943.
     Survivors include his brother, Gus, Thermopolis, Wyo.; two sisters, Olga 
Larson, Lincoln, Neb., and Nannie Nordgren, Sweden; several nieces and 
nephews, including Dorothy Snider, and Don Erickson, both of The Dalles.
     Funeral services were Jan. 27 at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home 
with Pastor Delmer Anderson officiating.  Private burial followed at the 
veterans section of IOOF Cemetery in The Dalles.
