The Dalles Weekly Reminder, November 3, 1983
     Hulda Esmay, 83, a resident of The Dalles for 76 years, died Friday at 
the hospital.
     She was born Dec. 4, 1899 in Prineville.
     Mrs. Esmay worked as a restaurant waitress at Johnny's Cafe for 30 years 
until her retirement.  She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America for 
more than 50 years.
     Survivors include a daughter, Doris Fuller, Tillamook; a daughter-in-law, 
Naomi Esmay, Portland; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one 
great-great-granddaughter.  Her husband died in 1960 and a son died in 1974.
     Funeral services were yesterday at the IOOF Memorial Mausoleum Chapel.
     Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
